March continues a year-long promotion of discounts, prize giveaways
and promotions at the National Aviary

(Pittsburgh) March 19, 2019 – Every 25th visitor to the National Aviary on Monday, March 25 will have the opportunity to spin a prize wheel and win exciting experiences, gifts, and discounts. This special activity is part of a year-long monthly initiative in celebration of the Allegheny Regional Asset District’s (RAD) 25th year and the significant support they, and the Pittsburgh community, have provided to the National Aviary.  Guests on March 25th could win an array of prizes including tickets to see immersive experience Amazing Amazon presented by AAA Travel, the opportunity to hand-feed a flock of Rainbow Lorikeets, and even a Sloth Encounter to two!

This is the second activity of a year-long celebration at the National Aviary, and visitors can expect something new on the 25th of April. Each month’s activity will be announced via the 25 RADical Years webpage on the National Aviary web site www.aviary.org, via social media using the hashtag #RAD25 and in the organization’s Airmail e-newsletter. Announcements will be made on the 26th day of each month for the following month’s activity.

About the National Aviary:

The National Aviary is America’s only independent indoor nonprofit zoo dedicated to birds. Located in West Park on Pittsburgh’s historic North Side, the National Aviary’s diverse collection comprises 500 birds representing more than 150 species from around the world, many of them threatened or endangered in the wild. The National Aviary’s large walk-through habitats create an intimate, up-close interaction between visitors and free-flying birds, including opportunities to hand-feed and to meet many species rarely found in zoos anywhere else in the world. The National Aviary inspires respect for nature through an appreciation of birds.
