Health and safety is always our top priority. Our policies are in place to help to protect our most vulnerable employees and guests. We have carefully reviewed the latest guidelines from the CDC. At this time, we continue to require our guests, staff, and volunteers to wear masks while at the National Aviary, regardless of vaccination status. Please check our latest policies before visiting us, as we continue to monitor the evolving circumstances of the pandemic. Thank you! Date: 5.24.2021
Whether you are a Member or a guest purchasing tickets, you must Book your tickets in advance using our timed ticketing system. Timed ticketing helps us keep the capacity in our facility low and allows for safe physical distancing.
Staff, volunteers, and guests should remain at least 6 feet apart from individuals not in their group. Reminders to maintain physical distance are present throughout the National Aviary.
Staff, volunteers, and guests are required to wear a protective face mask over the nose and mouth while in the National Aviary, regardless of vaccination status.
Hand sanitizing stations are widely available throughout the entire facility. Visitors are encouraged to sanitize their hands upon entry, and as often as possible throughout their visit. High-touch points are identified with signage and disinfected frequently.
Cleaning and Disinfecting Practices
We are performing frequent cleaning and disinfection of surfaces throughout the day.
Employees and volunteers undergo a health risk assessment including a temperature check before they enter the building every day.
We encourage cashless transactions at the Visitor Services desk, in our gift shop, and at Atria’s. Atria’s Kookaburra Kitchen is serving drinks and grab-and-go items daily from 11 am to 3 pm. Warm up with a cup of coffee and enjoy a quick light bite in The Garden Room at a physically distanced table.Buy Advance Tickets!
