Stroll through warm, blooming habitats see if you can spot an array of avian architectural wonders, from nest cavities that mimic the cliffside crevices used by Inca Terns to flat, platform nests comprised of sticks and twigs of Steller’s Sea Eagles. Uncover the stories behind these unique nesting practices of our feathered residents (and see them up close!) during Nurturing Nesters: Expert Feeding and Rainforest Residents: Expert Feeding.

Meet various Animal Ambassadors and learn how fledglings are just one small part of the family-building process during Not Just Bird Eggs: Expert Talk. PLUS, you may even say hello to another animal that hatches from an egg…and pro tip: it’s not a bird *wink wink.*

Gray Crowned-Crane, Clover, alongside every Eurasian Eagle-Owl who flies in this show hatched at the National Aviary?! See where their journey has taken them as they soar overhead, showcasing their astonishing abilities and adaptations during Passport to Parks, presented AAA Travel.

A Rainbow Lorikeet’s best magic trick? Their ability to feed on nectar through a specialized U-shaped tongue. See this magic trick UP CLOSE when you Hand-feed Rainbow Lorikeets!

Just like a chick spreading its wings in preparation for its first flight…YOU can “take the leap” and fly like a bird. Virtual reality flight simulator, Birdly® allows you to choose your destination, from over the Amazon Rainforest to around the tall skyscrapers of New York City.
