Valentino's Fa-BOO-lous Birthday: Expert Talk

Mon., October 13 | 12:30 - 1 pm
Included with General Admission

Our resident Linnaeus’s Two-toed Sloth, Valentino, is a Halloween baby! We're celebrating his boo-day a little early this year, because few things are creepier than the number 13!

Visit the National Aviary for a ONE DAY ONLY Expert Talk and card signing featuring the birthday boy himself. Write a birthday wish for Valentino on a larger-than-life birthday card, then watch as he adds his own "signature" using his natural ability to grasp and move objects while an Aviary expert provides insights on his "life in the slo-o-ow lane."

Valentino’s Fa-BOO-lous Birthday Expert Talk Schedule:

  • 10 am - 12:15 pm: Sign Valentino's Birthday Card in the Atrium!
  • 12:30 pm: Venture to the Helen M. Schmidt FliteZone™ Theater to watch Valentino add his "sloth signature" to his own birthday card. Seating is limited.

THIS FALL ONLY: You’ll DIG this Animal Encounter!

Join us “down the rabbit hole” as we uncover the hidden world that bustles below the forest floor alongside TWO fan-favorite National Aviary Animal Ambassadors: a Four-toed Hedgehog and Southern Three-banded Armadillo! PLUS, witness an armadillo’s foraging abilities up close as you feed him some of his favorite treats!

Proceeds support the National Aviary’s work to save birds and protect their habitats. Animal Encounters include General Admission!
