Check our Directions & Parking page to help plan your trip! Parking in the National Aviary parking lot is available on a first-come, first-served basis for a $7 flat rate. Please note: the Aviary parking lot closes nightly at 5 pm.

Tickets for add-on opportunities may be purchased onsite at our Visitor Services Desk or online when buying your General Admission tickets.

  1. Birdly’s weight capacity is 395 lbs. 
  2. Riders must have a 48″ wingspan and be at least 54″ tall to safely fly.
  3. Please avoid flight if you have a pacemaker, experience seizures, have limited mobility, or have any medical condition that could pose a risk to your health.

A note to our guests: To schedule your visit using group discounts, previously held free passes or vouchers, complimentary admission for Carnegie Mellon University and Community College of Allegheny County students and partner organizations, or reciprocal admission for members of other zoos, aquariums, and gardens, please contact [email protected].

Individuals and families who have Pennsylvania Access cards may show them at the Aviary’s Visitor Services Desk and receive up to four General Admission tickets for just $5 each. Please note: This discount applies to Pennsylvania Access cardholders only. 

All active duty, reservists, and veterans of the United States military receive 10% off General Admission tickets with valid military identification. Please show your ID to the friendly faces at our Visitor Services Desk to redeem discount.
