Eggstravaganza

Sat., and Sun., April 12 – 13; Fri., and Sat., April 18 – 19 | 11 am – 3 pm | Included with General Admission

Hop on over to the National Aviary for a spring celebration! You’ll have an egg-cellent time exploring the Aviary’s immersive habitats and searching for eggs on an egg-themed scavenger hunt. PLUS, there’s a chance to get various treats and prizes (including allergy-friendly options) throughout the entire facility AND take a photo with the Easter Bunny himself!

Eggstravaganza Schedule of Activities:

10:30 am: Meet an Eggs-pert Talk | Atrium

  • Learn the science behind eggs from a National Aviary expert.

10:30 am – 2 pm: Photos with the Easter Bunny | Atrium

11 am – 3 pm: Egg-splore the Aviary during a Scavenger Hunt | Full Facility 

11 am – 3 pm: Extraordinary Eggs Matching Game (and win a prize!) | Entrance
*Pending weather, this activity will be in our Eggstravaganza Discovery Zone

  • Learn all about spring bird migration and bird-safe glass from an Aviary expert

  • Read a story in our Springtime Book Nook
  • Plus, turn in your Scavenger Hunt at our Discovery Zone to receive a special prize

  • Meet one of the National Aviary’s newest Animal Ambassadors: A Blue-tongued Skink and learn how these reptiles differ from other egg-laying lizards.
