Member Exclusive: Expert Talk with Dr. Ernesto Arbelaez

July 16 |

Tues., July 16 | 6:30 – 7:30 pm | Reserve a spot via your Member profile | Space is limited, reservations are free

Join Dr. Ernesto Arbelaez, Executive Director and Founder of the Bioparque Amaru in Cuenca Ecuador and one of Ecuador’s leading conservationist, as he discusses Andean Condor conservation efforts.

The National Aviary has formed a strategic partnership with Bioparque Amaru  to further the conservation of wildlife native to high Andean habitats, including the Andean Condor. This partnership builds on the knowledge that effective and economical conservation efforts must be expanded in situ, that is, where the birds naturally occur. Once thriving in the Andes Mountains, Andean Condors are now Critically Endangered with Ecuadorian borders – and vulnerable and other countries. Learn about Amaru BioPark’s field conservation programs for this majestic species and their critical research within the Amazon Forest. Additionally, Dr. Arbelaez Dr. will speak on the important role Bioparque Amaru plays for rescued wildlife in Ecuador.

Space is limited for Expert Talk with Dr. Ernesto Arbelaez, reserve tickets in advance by logging into your Member profile.
