  • Adult Groups

    To plan a visit with your Adult Group, email [email protected].

  • AZA-reciprocal Admission

    To schedule your visit using Association of Zoos and Aquariums reciprocal admission for members of other zoos, aquariums, and gardens, please contact [email protected]. 

  • CCAC and CMU Students

    CMU students must show valid student ID at our Guest Services desk.

    CCAC students must show valid student ID and proof of current enrollment at our Guest Services desk.

  • Military

    All active duty, reservists, and veterans of the United States military receive 50% off of General Admission tickets on Memorial Day and Veteran’s Day with valid military identification. Please show your ID at our Guest Services Desk to redeem your discount. 

    Every other day that the National Aviary is open, all active duty, reservists, and veterans of the United States military receive 10% off of General Admission tickets with valid military identification. Please show your ID at our Guest Services Desk to redeem your discount.

  • PA Access Cards

    Individuals and families who have Pennsylvania Access cards may show them at the Aviary’s GuestServices Desk and receive up to four General Admission tickets for just $5 each. Please note: This discount applies to Pennsylvania Access cardholders only. 

  • Previously Held Free Passes or Vouchers

    To schedule your visit using using previously held free passes or vouchers, please contact [email protected]. 

  • Seasonal Daily Activities

    NThe National Aviary offers a variety of Seasonal Daily Activities for an incredible guest experience; many of which are included with General Admission.

    View an insightful feeding, watch birds soar overhead during an immersive bird show, or get up close with your favorite species during an Animal Encounter!

  • Parking

    iCheck our Directions and Parking page to help plan your trip! Parking in the National Aviary parking lot is available on a first-come, first-served basis for a flat rate of $7.

    Please note: The Aviary parking lot closes nightly at 5 pm.

The National Aviary has two baby Guam Kingfishers, known as sihek in the indigenous CHamoru language. The male Guam kingfisher hatched on April 19, while the female hatched on May 12. On May 27, the male chick took his first flight.
