Enjoy the elements of nature in this dazzling yet cozy space. Large bird-friendly glass windows can allow for open-air access to the garden, or remain closed for year-round comfort, while always offering a connection to the park.

Two stone fireplaces bookend the space, and a grand lobby area provides a seamless connection between your event in The Garden Room and access to the National Aviary’s lush and immersive habitats via The Charity Randall Foundation Eagle Hall.

The Garden Room is LEED Gold Certified with state-of-the-art sustainability features. Bird-safe glass protects local wildlife while offering stunning views of the historic Rose Garden, and eye-catching light-refracting skylights are unique way to reduce energy consumption.

You can feel good about hosting your event at the National Aviary because each rental, program, and event supports the Aviary’s mission to inspire respect for nature through an appreciation of birds.

Executive Chef Nathan Collins of Atria’s Specialty Catering offers up delectable culinary creations crafted on-site in The Garden Room’s industrial kitchen. The exclusive caterer of the National Aviary, Atria’s Specialty Catering, will work with you to make your event dazzling from hors d’oeuvres to a champagne toast!

Accessibility

The Garden Room is accessible with industry-leading features, including a family restroom with an adult changing table. The venue includes ramp access to the historic Rose Garden.

The Rose Garden has been restored to be more reflective of its turn-of-the-century design, with four walls and landscaping that provides a place for reflection and meditation. Community members and park visitors are all welcome to visit.
