Take your bird photography skills to the next level during this one-day workshop. National Aviary Educator and Photographer Mike Faix is an avid wildlife photographer who has traveled far and wide in pursuit of captivating bird photos. Join Mike as he presents his work while providing DSLR-focused tips for capturing stunning bird images, both outside and inside the Aviary’s dynamic habitats. Afterwards, enjoy unique behind-the-scenes access photographing National Aviary Animal Ambassadors in a professional studio lighting setup, an incredible opportunity to create impressive portraits, even with the most basic of cameras. 

Best of all, workshop registration includes General Admission to the National Aviary, so you can spend the rest of the day exploring immersive habitats, full of gorgeous birds from around the world, putting your new techniques into practice.

Open to participants 13 years and older. Those under 16 must be accompanied by a registered adult.
