Hear ye, hear ye – a medieval dining experience awaits! The National Aviary cordially invites you to the ultimate renaissance-themed dining experience, alongside a one-of-a-kind falconry presentation from the Aviary’s own licensed falconer, Cathy Schlott.  

Get ready for a feast fit for a monarch in a stately space: The Garden Room. Enjoy delicious roasted meats at our carving station paired with hearty vegetables and mouth-watering appetizers, all prepared by Atria’s Specialty Catering. Satisfy your sweet tooth with roasted s’mores on a stick or grab a goodie from the glorious dessert table.

As you dig in, witness Cathy and an Animal Ambassador illustrate the ancient sport enjoyed by kings for thousands of years: falconry. After your meal, learn more about the National Aviary’s bird of prey residents during an exclusive Eagle Talk.

  • The unique chance to learn more about other royal raptors during an exclusive Eagle Talk with a National Aviary expert.
  • Step forth and journey through the realms of nature (aka explore our immersive habitats)! Habitats close at 7 pm.

In your purse, wallet, flowy gown, or roomy cloak, be sure to have cash or credit card(s) to purchase items from local blacksmith shop, Finch’s Forge* and local ceramic artist, Katie Botterman, who specializes in nature and ancient history themed pottery.

*Items purchased from Finch’s Forge must be picked up AS YOU EXIT the event.

Ren Faire attire IS ENCOURAGED! Think flowy gowns, corsets, tunics, cloaks, kilts, flower crowns, or even fantasy touches likes elf ears! Accessories such as faux swords, daggers, or toy shield are welcomed, but please leave all real or functional weapons at home.
