Your health and safety is our utmost concern. That’s why the National Aviary has been closely monitoring the evolving situation with COVID-19 (Coronavirus). While there is no known threat of COVID-19 at the National Aviary, out of an abundance of caution, the National Aviary will be closed beginning Saturday, March 14 through at least March 31. During this time, dedicated staff will continue to care for the animals at the National Aviary. Status updates can be found here, on the National Aviary’s website.

Summer Camps

2020 National Aviary Summer Camps

National Aviary Olympics

Whether you want to get up close to unique birds or go outside to explore conservation in action, National Aviary Summer Camps are for you!

Our camps offer one-of-a-kind experiences that bring campers closer to nature and inspires them to become gold medal conservationists in their own backyards. In the spirit of the 2020 Olympic Summer Games, campers will get up close to birds from around the world and discover their Olympic-worthy adaptations as they journey through our immersive Tropical Rainforest, Wetlands, and Savanna habitats.

Through crafts, stories, games, and hands-on STEM activities, campers will learn what it takes to become the strongest, fastest, and most agile birds on the planet. They will even compete in their own Aviary Olympic Games!

New this year, Field Conservation camps will allow campers to learn about conservation efforts in Pittsburgh and will include exciting off site opportunities to learn and explore conservation in action.

Our fees include admission, all of our exciting camp activities, supplies, a camp T-shirt, and time to explore our beautiful free-flight habitats.

Is a camp you're interested in, full? To be added to our waiting list please contact Kate Campbell, Sales Manager at 412-258-9439.
