Penguin-palooza | Saturday and Sunday, March 19 and 20 | 10 am – 4:30 pm | Included with Admission 

Waddle to the National Aviary as we celebrate all things penguin! Learn what makes penguins unique through interactive activities, special talks, and even take home your own penguin craft. Plus, visit with the National Aviary’s colony of adorable African Penguins, and learn about the Aviary’s work to save penguins from extinction.


Activities include:

  • 10:30 AM and 4 pm – African Penguin Feeding: Find out how the National Aviary is working to protect this endangered species, and learn how you can help African Penguins
  • 11:30 AM- Penguin story time: Enjoy “If You Were a Penguin” by Florence Friedmann Minor for a fun story time
  • 1:30 PM- African Penguin Talk:  Learn about this endangered species from a National Aviary expert
  • 3:00 PM- Penguin Trivia: Put your penguin knowledge to the test with penguin related questions
