Flamingo Island Adventure
September 16 12:00 pm - 12:30 pm
An event every day that begins at 12:00 pm, repeating until December 31, 2020
Daily at 12 p.m.
A group of flamingos is called a “flamboyance,” and the American Flamingos in the National Aviary’s Wetlands habitat live up to the name! These birds are vivid, highly social, and very vocal. Learn about these flamboyant birds from a National Aviary expert, who will venture into the Wetlands pond to feed the flock and highlight the interesting adaptations of flamingos, like their long necks, specialized beaks, and pink coloring. Meet other fascinating species as they swoop in for a meal on the fly!
Included with admission.
