Armadillo Encounter

An event every day that begins at 10:30 am, repeating until September 7, 2020

Get up close to an adorable armadillo!

This unique opportunity is available daily at 10:30 AM

Watch the National Aviary’s Southern three-banded Armadillo walk around and explore as you learn all about this fascinating species. You can take photos of the armadillo, touch his natural armor, and interact with him using enrichment toys.

Information & Pricing:

  • $40 per person
  • All ages. Children 15 and under must be accompanied by a paying adult over 18 years of age. Group size limited to four people.
  • Advance registration guarantees your experience. Same-day registration is based on program availability and cannot be guaranteed.  Programs may sell out early for holidays and special weekends.

Tickets for encounters are non-refundable and non-transferrable to a different day/time. 
At the National Aviary, we give our animals the choice to participate in interactive experiences with caring guests, like you!  Please provide your contact information when booking your encounter. If our animal ambassador needs a day of rest, we will contact you to reschedule your encounter. The comfort and safety of our animals and our guests is always our top priority.
