Bird of Prey Flight Encounter

Get up close to birds of prey like never before!

Two of the National Aviary's striking birds of prey can fly to you in this brand new, exhilarating encounter. 

You'll have the opportunity to meet a Bald Eagle or a Golden Eagle up close and take great photos! Then, hold out your gloved hand, and a Lanner Falcon or a Harris Hawk AND a Hooded Vulture will fly to you and land on your arm! Plus, learn how you can help protect wild populations of birds of prey. 

 

You can experience a Bird of Prey Flight Encounter on Saturdays and Sundays at 2 pm beginning March 2. Advance registration required.

Information and Pricing

At the National Aviary, we give our animals the choice to participate in interactive experiences with caring guests, like you!  Please provide your contact information when booking your encounter. If our animal ambassador needs a day of rest, we will contact you to reschedule your encounter. The comfort and safety of our animals and our guests is always our top priority. Thank you for understanding!

  • $125 per person + general admission for non-members. National Aviary members always receive free general admission.
  • Ages 14 and up. Children 14-16 must be accompanied by a paying adult over 18 years of age. Group size limited to four people.
