FUN FACT

Troupials are obligate nest pirates. Instead of building their own nest, they are dependent on finding an abandoned nest from another species, or driving adults away from an already active nest.

Distribution

Colombia, Venezuela and the Caribbean Islands.

Habitat

Dry woodlands and scrub.

Diet

Insects, fruit, smaller birds and eggs.
