FUN FACT

These birds are named for the white collar of feathers around their necks.

This songbird is slightly smaller than an American robin, with an olive-green body, thick ivory bill, dark gray head with white streaks on the cheeks, and a white collar between the breast and throat.

Breeding

Pairs are monogamous and the female builds a small cup-shaped nest in the trees.
