  Green Bird Scavenger Hunt Wednesday, March 17th Pick up a Scavenger Hunt sheet at the Aviary and see if you can find all the green birds in the flock. Children under 12 who participate receive a take-away treat.  Won't You Be My Neighbor? Day Friday, March 19th Wear a sweater in honor of Mister Roger's birthday! The National Aviary will be offering FREE admission from 10 am - 5 pm.  Meet the Easter Bunny Saturday, March 27th 11am - 1pm Meet the Easter Bunny and have your photo taken with him. Meet some of the Aviary's feathery friends up close and enjoy coloring and activities. Each child will receive a special take-away treat. Party for the Planet Saturday, April 24th 11 am - 2 pm Enjoy special animal encounters, give-aways and trainer talks as we celebrate the planet!  Night in the Tropics Saturday, July 17th 6pm - 11pm A fun and carefree celebration, Night in the Tropics is one of the best parties of the summer! Tickets $50; VIP tickets $100  Junior Veterinarians ONGOING EVENT 10:30 a.m. Little ones are invited to join us on WEDNESDAY mornings to learn about the many things veterinarians do each day to keep animals healthy and well. Children can practice their animal doctor skills using toy stethoscopes, bandages and other toy medical equipment on plush birds that the Aviary provides, or bring a plush animal from home for a medical exam. Included with admission  LITTLE PEEPERS: Kid-focused programs for ages 2-5 ONGOING EVENT 10:30 a.m. Every Tuesday at 10:30 a.m., kids enjoy stories and special bird encounters. Included with admission. |
