What does the basic Bird-Day Party package include?
- Our basic package includes a two hour room rental and full day general admission to the Aviary for up to 20 guests, for each increment of ten people or less,
there is an additional $100 charge.
Are there any special Aviary activities that we can incorporate into our party?

We have a variety of experiences that may be added on to the event. Please click here to see what is available. All experiences must be chosen at least ten days prior to the party.
How do I reserve a party date?

Call our Program Scheduler at 412-258-9439 or email at birthdays@aviary.org. A credit card deposit of $100 is due at the time of booking with the balance due ten days prior to your party.
What time can the party be held?

Bird-Day Parties may be held weekends from 10:30am to 12:30pm or 2pm to 4pm.
May I bring in food to serve at the party?

The National Aviary does not provide catering, although the group is welcome to bring any food or non-alcoholic drinks into the rental room at no charge. The group may also have food delivered to the National Aviary during the time of the facility rental.
 May I decorate the rental room?

The National Aviary will provide tables, chairs, and plastic table coverings in a choice of four (4) colors. The renter is welcome to bring in any decorations other than the following: balloons, piñatas, animals, or candles and open flame. Candles are only permitted briefly on the birthday cake. The renter will have access to the rental space 30 minutes prior to the start of the party. The room must be vacated within 30 minutes after the conclusion of the party.
What should I expect on the day of the party?

On the day of the event, proceed to the Admissions desk and they will call your party host. You will be given enough wrist bands for your paid guests. After your party is completed, simply return the extra wristbands to your party host.
What if I need to cancel my party?

If you must cancel your birthday party, contact us at least 48 hours in advance to reschedule or cancel for no fee. The $100 booking fee is non-refundable. In case of inclement weather, the cancellation fee is waived.
