National Aviary Bird-Day Party Package includes:

• A room rental for 2 hours, either 11 am-1 pm or 2 pm-4 pm
• Same day general admission for 20 guests (this includes children and adults)
• A discounted admission of $8 for each additional guest
• Cost is $250 for non-members, $200 for members

Plan your next birthday party at the National Aviary. Our basic Bird-Day party package includes a 2 hour room rental and full day general admission to the Aviary for up to 20 guests; each additional guest is $8. You are welcome to bring any food or non-alcoholic drink to the Bird-Day room at the Aviary for your party. All food and drink is the responsibility of the party planner. The party can be further customized by adding any of our special Bird-Day Party experiences.

Extra Bird-Day Party Options:

Private Lories & Friends experience

• A trainer will escort your group to our Lories & Friends exhibit where all members in your group will have the opportunity to hand-feed nectar to our friendly lorikeets. The exhibit is not open to the public at this time so it will be an experience for your group only.
• This experience is not recommended for groups of children under the age of 5.
• This experience must be held at a specific time depending on the daily event schedule. This experience lasts approximately 20 minutes.
• Cost is $125 for up to 20 participants, each additional participant is $2.50.

Penguin Painting

• One of our African Penguins will paint your very own 16x20 painting in up to 3 colors of your choosing.
• This encounter lasts approximately 20 minutes and does not include touching the animal.
• Cost is $150

Avian Serenade

• Make you birthday memorable by having our resident singing parrot “Max” sing “Happy Birthday” to the birthday child! This encounter lasts approximately 10 minutes and does not include touching the animal.
• This experience will be scheduled into your Bird-Day party based on current FliteZone™ show times. *May only be available seasonally.
• Cost is $75

Single Bird Encounter

• Meet your choice of either a raptor or penguin up close. This encounter lasts approximately 15 minutes and does not include touching the animal.
• Cost is $50

3 Bird Encounters

• Meet a Penguin, raptor, and one unique avian species up close and personal in your facility rental room. This encounter lasts approximately 30 minutes and does not include touching the animals.
• Cost is $100

Chicken or Duck Feeding

• Meet and feed some of the Aviary’s silkie chickens or call ducks up close and personal during your party. This encounter lasts approximately 15 minutes and does not include touching the animals.
• Cost is $50

Penguin or Owl Craft

• Choice of an owl or penguin pre-cut craft, along with use of all tools necessary to complete the craft.
• Cost is $3/craft

Goody Bags

• A small goody bag for each child that includes small toys and candy. This is not recommended for children under the age of 3.
• Cost is $5/bag

Special Gift for the Birthday Child

• A bag for the birthday child with a t-shirt, plush, and toy.
• Cost is $25
