How to Schedule

Advanced registration required at least 3 weeks in advance. Contact our Reservationist at 412-258-9439 or education.programs@aviary.org.

Have several dates in mind in case your preferred date is unavailable. Programs at the National Aviary require a $135.00 non-refundable deposit, due within 10 days of reservation (cash, check or credit cards accepted). Final payment is due upon arrival. All other reservations require full payment within 10 days of reservation. If deposit or payment is not received, your reservation is subject to cancellation.

The National Aviary requires 1 adult chaperone for every 10 students for K—12 groups, and 1 adult chaperone for every 5 students for preschool groups. Teachers, aides and bus drivers receive complimentary admission.

Schools will be charged for the number of people present on the program day, less the amount of deposit. No more than 10% can be added to the total number of attendees given at the time of reservation, and final counts are due 10 days prior to the program date.
