Join the National Aviary on an exclusive trip to Hawk Mountain, widely regarded as one of the best sites in the eastern United States to watch birds of prey on migration! The trip also includes a visit to Powdermill Nature Reserve and its Avian Research Center. Don’t miss this opportunity to view wild birds on migration with the experienced staff of the National Aviary and the experts at Hawk Mountain and Powdermill Nature Reserve.

The trip includes all transportation to and from Hawk Mountain and Powdermill, overnight accommodations, and breakfast and lunch for both days. Children over the age of 12 are welcome. Due to the terrain of Hawk Mountain Sanctuary light hiking is required; please dress appropriately.

Planned Itinerary

Saturday, October 11, 2008

8:00 a.m. – Check in at National Aviary

8:30 a.m. – Buses depart promptly

10:30 a.m. – Powdermill Nature Reserve and Avian Research Center Tour. Lunch will be provided.

1:30 p.m. – Bus departs for hotel near Hawk Mountain. Dinner on your own.


Sunday, October 12, 2008

7:30 a.m. – Depart from hotel. Breakfast is provided

8:15 a.m. – Arrive at Hawk Mountain. Spend day at Hawk Mountain. Lunch will be provided

2:00 p.m. – Depart for National Aviary. Short stop for dinner at rest stop along the drive home

8:00 p.m. – Approximate time to arrive at the National Aviary

Prices

Double Occupancy – $150 Aviary members; $175 non-members
Single Occupancy – $275 Aviary members; $300 non-members
Triple or Quad Occupancy – $125 Aviary members; $150 non-members
All prices are per person.

50% deposit due at time of booking. Balance due on September 8, 2008
No refunds after September 8, 2008; full refund prior to September 8, 2008.
