Inspire an early love for nature through our Pre-K classes. Lively activities and bird encounters make it easy to learn and remember fun facts about our feathered friends.

Mother Nature’s Diner
Ever wonder what birds eat in the wild? Do they eat worms, seeds or fruit? Maybe even a mouse? Using a puppet show and real food from the National Aviary's kitchen, "Mother Nature" demonstrates what's on the menu for the birds.

Penguins, Penguins Everywhere!
Do you like to swim? Would you like to wear a feather coat? How about eating fish for breakfast? Preschoolers will learn what it takes to swim, waddle, slide, and even eat like a penguin through interactive storytelling and a special visit from one of the National Aviary’s African penguins!

Who’s In There?
There is always something hatching at the National Aviary! Through interactive story telling and touchable eggs, students will learn about the egg and the different forms of life that can grow inside.
