The Bali Mynah has pure white plumage set off by jet black tail and wing-tips. hey have a lacy crest of feathers, which is lifted during courtship.
Critically endangered: With only about 6 left in the wild (year 2001), this Mynah is one of the rarest birds in the world. The birds’ current range is limited to a small section of Bali Barat National Park in northwestern Bali. Their survival is threatened by habitat destruction. Capture for the pet trade is another reason for the mynah’s dwindling population.
