Cartoon Network Invades Pittsburgh July 31 with Ben 10: Ultimate Alien Invasion at the National Aviary

PITTSBURGH – June 30, 2010

Cartoon Network and Comcast Spotlight bring Ben 10: Ultimate Alien Invasion, an on-the-ground experience designed to entertain the whole family, to the National Aviary Saturday, July 31, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., as part of its summer tour of cities across the country.

During the Ben 10: Ultimate Alien Invasion, families can take pictures against a BEN 10: ULTIMATE ALIEN green screen, meet and take pictures with BEN 10 costume characters, receive giveaways and have an opportunity to win prizes at the BEN 10: ULTIMATE ALIEN prize wheel.

“We are excited to partner with The National Aviary and Comcast Spotlight to bring this exciting event to Pittsburgh for families to enjoy during the summer break,” said Gary Brockman, vice president of 360 network marketing and brand operations, TNS.

Picking up immediately where BEN 10: ALIEN FORCE leaves off, BEN 10: ULTIMATE ALIEN follows 16-year-old Ben Tennyson as his life changes. The Omnitrix has been destroyed and Ben must now learn to master the secrets of the mysterious Ultimatrix, a new watch-like device that not only allows him to transform into a variety of alien super heroes, but also gives him the ability to activate “ultimate” versions of some of his most powerful alien entities. BEN 10: ULTIMATE ALIEN airs on Cartoon Network on Fridays at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

“July 31 will be a great day for families visiting the National Aviary,” says National Aviary Executive Director Patrick Mangus. “In addition to the Ben 10 activities, guests can take in our outdoor FliteZone bird shows, spend time with our African penguins, linger in our new Grasslands exhibit, and hand feed a variety of species in our free-flight and lorikeet exhibits.”
